Established in 1950 and based in Scole, South Norfolk, A. Waterfield & Sons Ltd is a family run business.

 

Specialising in all aspects of resurfacing works for both domestic and commercial clients, from small private driveways to large car parks and new build housing estate footpaths and roadways. Asphalt, Tarmac, Hot Bitumen Spraying, Concrete, Brickweave Paving & Resin Bound surfaces are all offered with almost 70 years of experience within the trade from a name that you can trust.

 

 

The Challenge

An ageing incumbent phone system was proving problematic for the team at A. Waterfield & Sons with limited functionality and even lacking basic requirements such as voicemail.

With the impending ISDN switch off on the horizon and local exchanges already in stop-sell the existing system would quickly become obsolete altogether. A.Waterfield & Sons were challenged with finding a new solution that would ensure they would remain connected to their customers when the switch-off happened.

 


The Solution

The team required a reliable solution that could be easily managed and maintained and that also offered scalability so it would adapt to the changing needs and growth of the business.

 

Wildix telephony provided the ideal solution for the team's needs. Wildix is a browser-based Unified Communications (UC) solution that allows users to call, video call and message with ease, the addition of voicemail meant the team would never miss a business call.

The system also provided additional benefits of flexibility over SIP lines and similarity between the incumbent system meant the transfer was simple for the team with very little additional training required. In addition to the system upgrade, cabling was also upgraded to Cat 5 to ensure optimum connectivity and reliance.
