MYA aims to deliver the world’s most patient-focused cosmetic surgery. They believe that when you love the way you look, you stand a bit taller, you speak a bit louder and the more confident you emerges from within.
MYA are breast enhancement (also known as breast enlargement), liposuction and rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) specialists who also offer the full range of surgical procedures.
On a daily basis, MYA generates a vast amount of
data through patient records. Backups of this
data must be automatically completed throughout
the day. Their incumbent system was struggling
to complete the necessary backups, either not
completing them in time or failing to complete
them all together. Making accessing essential
patient data difficult and leaving the team
worrying about the potential pitfalls of a
complete system failure.
Due to the
amount of live data processing carried out it
was essential MYA had a solution that could
backup regularly throughout the day. In addition
to this, there was also the requirement for MYA
to have workable versions of their applications
to roll back to but also somewhere that should
they lose any infrastructure they were hosted on
the could access fully and in a timely
manner.
Complying to regulatory guidelines is also of paramount importance to MYA, all patient records must be securely stored and retained in order for auditing and compliance. Failure to do this correctly can prove extremely costly for the team.
As an existing Atlas Support customer, MYA
reached out to their Account Manager to gain
some advice . After discussing their needs in
detail, a recommendation for a comprehensive
Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) was made.
With all of MYA's servers, databases and
applications using Rubrik managed in the cloud
to backup.
